Volunteer Opportunities
We are looking for volunteers across the whole of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, with all kinds of skills and experience. Take a look at the roles we have available and if you’d like to find out more, complete the expression of interest form and we will get back to you with more information. Social Group Helpers / Art & Craft Facilitators
Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW host weekly Support & Social Groups in Andover, Fareham, Eastleigh, Havant & Waterlooville, Basingstoke, Fleet, New Milton, and Lyndhurst.
We are looking for volunteers for 2-3 hours each week, making tea/coffee, hosting an activity table – playing dominoes or rummikub, using books to reminisce, facilitating arts & crafts, or chatting to group members.
Full training will be given and you will be supported by our Group Coordinators and Head of Community Support.
Andover – Wednesday’s 12.30pm-3.15pm
Basingstoke – Monday’s 1pm-3.45pm
Fleet – Thursday’s 12.30pm-3.15pm
Havant – Wednesday’s 12.30pm-3.15pm
Denmead – second Wednesday each month 10.45am – 1.15pm
Lyndhurst – Thursday’s 1pm-3.45pm
Fareham – Thursday’s 1pm-3.45pm
Musical Group Leaders / Musical Group Helpers
We host monthly Musical Moments Groups in Hedge End, Fareham, Sway, Lyndhurst, Lymington and Denmead, with more locations across Hampshire launching in 2025.
We are looking for volunteers once a month for 2 hours. The role will involve working with the venue staff to welcome our community members and working with other volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the event.
Full training will be given and you will be supported by our Head of Community Support and Peer Support Coordinator.
Andover – Every second Tuesday each month 1.30pm-3.30pm
Lyndhurst – Every second Tuesday each month 1.30pm-3.30pm
Basingstoke – Every third Tuesday each month 1.30pm-3.30pm
Sway – Every third Tuesday each month 1pm-3pm
Farnborough/Fleet – Every third Tuesday each month 1.30pm-3.30pm
Denmead – Every fourth Tuesday each month 1.30pm-3.30pm
Lymington – Every fourth Tuesday each month 1pm-3pm
Event Organisers
We are looking for event coordinators to help organise our Group Xmas parties, outings, and fundraising events.
Every September we Walk for Dementia to raise funds to support people living with dementia in our local communities.
We are looking for volunteers to organise a walk in their local area, and for helpers to help raise awareness or help on the day. You will be supported by our charity fundraiser.
In 2025 we raised a whopping £10,000! Can you help us raise even more next year?
Fundraisers
Can you help us raise money to help fund our services?
We are looking for talented fundraisers to help us raise funds working with organisations and individuals in the community or writing grant applications.
This could be arranging community fundraising events, helping to raise awareness of our annual fundraising campaigns in your local area, talking to local business’s or schools to engage them in fundraising for us, or gathering raffle prizes. Let us know what you’d like to do and we will support you to achieve your fundraising goals. You will be supported by our charity fundraiser.

Content Creators
Can you spare a few hours each week to help create content for our socials and website.
Volunteer at a time to suit you, daytime, evenings or weekends, and make a difference to the lives of people living with dementia in our local communities.
Trustees
We are looking for Trustees with skills and experience in HR and Finance to help with the Governance of the Charity and to share your expertise in your specialist area.
