The Clive Fortune Big Band Valentine Special

The Clive Fortune Big Band Valentine Special promises to be an exciting event raising funds to support people living with dementia. The audience will be treated to a range of songs and sounds of the big band genre, plus performances from special guests The Tonyx, female barbershop quartet. The event takes place at the Concorde Club, Stoneham Lane, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO50 9HQ on Sunday 15th February.

Doors open for lunch at 12.30 pm with the concert starting at 2.00pm.

A 2-course Sunday lunch +concert ticket is £30*

Concert ticket (without lunch) is £16*

Established sixteen years ago, Clive Fortune Big Band is a 19-piece group of accomplished local musicians, including two talented vocalists, Ali Bagshaw and Tori, brought together under the expert guidance of Musical Director and trombonist Clive Fortune. This is a free event hosted by Wellington Vale Care Home in partnership with Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW.

A drop in afternoon for family, friends, carers and those living with dementia. Enjoy a safe, relaxed afternoon singing to enhance wellbeing and an opportunity to ask questions and share concerns with others. A selection of snacks and refreshments will be available in the beautiful environment of Wellington Vale Care Home in Denmead.

A 45minute musical session, followed by refreshments. 2pm-3.30pm.

The event is open to anyone and everyone living with dementia, but particularly beneficial for people living with mid/later stage dementia, as singing can relieve symptoms and enhance mood.
