Arts & Crafts for People living with Dementia and their Carers

Hosted by Green Buttercup CIC. The December meeting will be making decorations for an entry in the Romsey Methodist Church Christmas Tree Festival. The theme this year is ‘Christmas Characters’ and the group members will be decorating cut-outs of Gingerbread Men.

Everyone is welcome to join in what should be a fun activity.

This is a ‘fun’ Arts & Crafts group with no experience necessary and all stages of Dementia are catered for.

£4 per person.

Reminiscence Activity Group – ‘The New Forest in Winter’

Join Greenbuttercup Dementia Services for a talk & slide show about New Forest wildlife and conservation by ‘Wild New Forest CIC’. Come along and look at some beautiful pictures of the wildlife in the New Forest and reminisce about your own visits there. Suitable for all levels of Dementia along with their family/carers. £4 entry fee includes all activities and tea/coffee plus biscuits.

Arts & Crafts for People living with Dementia and their Carers

A monthly ‘fun’ Arts & Crafts session with a different activity each month. No experience is necessary and all materials and instruction are included in the £4 per person charge. Activities can be adapted for any stage of Dementia or ability.

Chair based exercise to music with optional standing. Suitable for those living with neurological conditions such as Dementia, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s.

Alzheimer Café Isle Of Wight – Ryde

Hosted by Alzheimer Café Isle of Wight, Ryde Alzheimer Café is held at the church hall, All Saints’ Church, Queens Road, Ryde PO33 3AF, from 11.30am – 1.30pm, on the first Wednesday of each month (not January).

An informal, supportive and friendly atmosphere for people whose lives have been affected by dementia.

Each month an informative presentation relating to dementia is given, there is time to discuss dementia related issues in a relaxed atmosphere, with coffee/tea and cakes being served.

There is no charge to attend an Alzheimer Café, however, donations are welcomed.

Newport Alzheimer Café is held at the Newclose County Cricket Ground, Blackwater Road, Newport, PO30 3BE from 6pm – 8pm, on the last Thursday of each month.
