Throughout the month of September we are asking you to put on your walking boots (or trainers) and walk for dementia.
You can take part wherever you are. Just set up a Just Giving page, order your t-shirt (if you want one) and start walking!
Your Walk Your Way – For Dementia is an unmissable and uplifting event for the whole family. It’s for everyone, all ages and abilities. It can be a gentle stroll along the river, a walk in the park, or as challenging as you want it to be, because it’s Your Walk Your Way!
Join us on Sunday 11 September at Warsash Harbour anytime between 10am – 2pm to sign in, then walk or run around a route of your choice, depending on your ability and preferences.
We’ve mapped out some beautiful walks, from an accessible 0.5km, to a challenging 12km, with various distances in between.
All walks have fantastic views of the River Hamble and/or The Solent.
When you’ve completed your walk, join us back at the harbour to collect your medal and celebrate your achievement with others taking part.
Come together to share stories and create special moments, or remember loved ones that we have lost.
With every step you take, you are helping people in your local community living with dementia access the support they need to maximise their quality of life.
Premium ticket (£12.50) includes your t-shirt and medal. T-shirts are available in sizes small, medium, large, and x large. Any sponsorship monies that you raise will be spent directly to support people living with dementia in your local area. (Once you have signed up you will receive an email asking you to confirm t-shirt sizes)
Standard ticket (£4.50) includes your medal (no t-shirt included). Any sponsorship monies that you raise will be spent directly to support people living with dementia in your local area.
Whether you are fundraising to support people in your local community, for family and friends living with dementia or in memory of a loved one, it’s because of people like you that Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW can be here to support people living with dementia and their families.
With special thanks to our sponsors
