The Forget-me-not Singing Club is primarily aimed at people living with dementia or Parkinsons and their friends, but anyone else who just fancies a good sing on a Friday afternoon is very welcome to join us!
We sing songs from a range of genres and eras – folk songs, pop/rock songs, songs from films and from school days. Everybody is invited to suggest new songs to add to our repertoire. The singing is fun and friendly and there’s no need to worry if you think you are not much of a singer, or a bit rusty – all voices are welcome!
Date and time: We meet at 2pm on Friday afternoons. It lasts about an hour and a half with a break for tea, biscuits and a chat in the middle.
Location: We meet at Brockenhurst Methodist Church Hall, Avenue Road, Brockenhurst SO42 7RT. You’ll find the church hall entrance to the left of the main church building.
Getting there: There are a few parking spaces in front and to both sides of the church, but you can also park for free on the road in front. The church hall is also just a few minutes’ walk from Brockenhurst railway station (via the gate at the back of the station carpark).
Cost: £5 per person, which includes refreshments.
Get in touch: I’m very happy to answer any questions you might have, and it is always helpful (although not crucial) to know if you are planning to come along. Thank you!
