Dementia Friendly Walking Football

An event every 2 weeks that begins at 11:00 am on Monday, repeating until September 4, 2023
Enjoy the great sense of satisfaction provided by this walking football session. People living with Dementia as well as their friends and family are all welcomed to this fun, inclusive and easy going active session.
These sessions are facilitated by the brilliant Jonno from local coaching company Active 8 Minds in partnership with Dementia Friendly Petersfield and Right at Home Care. This amazing team ensure that an incredibly warm and welcoming activity is provided and you can rest assured that they understand the needs of those living with all forms of Dementia.
You can expect a very laid back structure which consists of a short, gentle warm up followed by a friendly 5 a side match. Our aim is to get you on your feet and moving whilst having fun and being sociable. In addition to the walking football, there will also be some activities arranged for those on the side lines. These can range from chair based yoga to arts and crafts.
Sessions are free and funded by East Hampshire District Council. So go on, take advantage of this incredible opportunity to make Walking Football a key event in your social calendar.
