A two-hour evening gathering in a welcoming and inclusive cafe-like setting, for people with dementia, their family and friend carers, and anyone with an interest in learning about dementia. People with dementia, ideally soon after diagnosis, should come accompanied by a carer. The evening includes a presentation on a topic that addresses the emotional impact of of living, or caring for someone with dementia. These topics are presented on a rolling programme each year from September. In December and July there are social events, with a brief talk. There is no need to book or register, just turn up.
